Tara Equestrian had such a successful season! Trainer Lisa Sammartino watched as all of her students learned and had fun. All the riders that showed this year should be so proud of all they accomplished. The Tara Equestrian year end horse show at Crossrail Farm had all of the riders out to show off what they learned this year. Our judges Mia Sammartino and Emma Enns were very impressed by their abilities. Good job this year team!

The VDRC Annual Open Show was a fun start to two of our horses’ show careers. Our former race horse Jillian Jigs, trained and shown by Mia Sammartino, started her first class in a state of shell shock. There was one point where she decided not to move, so Mia dismounted and hung out in the middle of the ring with the judge. However, Jillian regrouped and ended up coming third in her stake class and winning the trophy for Pleasure Horse 15.3 and over. |

Our young filly Crossrail’s Affair e Tale (Fairy) was shown by a local pony clubber, Emma Enns. Emma has had little experience with green ponies, but took Fairy out confidently. Fairy was fantastic for her first show! Fairy is now for sale at the coast, training with Tawny Friesen and Allissa Tubbs. |

Crossrail Jacks to Kings and Nick Demetrick cleaned up at their first Jumper show, the VDRC Hunter/Jumper Show. Nick took home a whole bunch of ribbons, winning his 2’3” and 2’6” divisions. Now Nick is schooling 2’9” with Jack preparing for the next competition. Hard to believe that last year he was riding Crosspoles! |
